1. Q. How do find my school bookstore?
A. Your school bookstore may be found several ways depending on how the school has opted to operate it.

Option #1: A link on your schools website, most of our schools link their bookstore directly from their homepage or an internal page.

Option #2: Visit www.ClassBook.com, on the home page enter your schools zip code. If found a link to your schools books store will be displayed.
2. Q. How do I use the school bookstore?
A. To use your school bookstore simply:
  1. Select Your school Division (this is the first Drop Down on the shopping cart menu.)
  2. Select your department/teacher (this is the second Drop Down on the shopping cart menu)
  3. Select your course
*Your school's bookstore will depend on the options which where provided. The school has designed the site to accompany their organization.

Upon selecting a course, the book list will be listed below in the left hand column.

Select which books you need to purchase and add them to your shopping cart.

You are now ready to repeat this process and purchase the rest of the books which you need.
3. Q. What if the book is not on the booklist?
A. If you are searching for a book which is not included on your booklist please contact your school to make sure your book is required by the course you are taking. Books are identified by a 13 digit number usualy located on the back cover. This number will start with a 987 or 979 prefix.

The school bookstore has been reviewed thouroughly by the school so if purchases are made outside the school bookstore ClassBook.com is not responsible for incorrect books.

4. Q. Where is my shopping cart?
A. After selecting a book you will automatically be directed to your shopping cart. You can also access your shopping cart at anytime by clicking the View Cart link in the main menu.
5. Q. How do I make changes to the cart?
A. By reviewing your shopping cart at any time you will be able modify the quantity ordered or delete the book from the shipment all together. To delete the book simply click the the small delete icon to the right of the book.
6. Q. What should the “Shipping Address” be?
A. This is the address which your books will be shipped to. However, FedEx and UPS do not ship to P.O. Boxes, so when possible please provide a physical street address to ensure quicker delivery.
7. Q. What should the “Billing Address” be?
A. This address should correspond to the address which your credit card bill is sent to. This address is exteremly important as it is used to verify that the credit card is being used by authorized individuals. If this address is not entered exactly as it appears on your credit card bill your transaction will be denied.
8. Q. When will my books be shipped?
A. Most orders are shipped with in one business day.
9. Q. What method are the books shipped?
A. The method of service used by ClassBook.com to ship books is dependent on weight of the order and the destination of the book. All orders shipped by ClassBook.com will be delivered within 6 business days of the shipment date or earlier depending on the service requested.
- 10lbs or less – are shipped via FedEx.
- 11lbs or more - are shipped UPS Ground.
- P.O. Boxes - are shipped via USPS

All orders which utilize standard shipping method will not be charged more then $15 regardless of the weight or amount of books orders. If the express service is utilized actual shipping charges are applied and books will be received no later then 2 business days or earlier of placing the order depending on location. All express orders are shipped FedEx.
10. Q. What are the shipping rates?
A. Shipping rates are charged based on the size of the order that is placed. All orders utilizing Standard Shipping will be charged at the rates listed below.

Standard Shipping - $3.95 + $1 per book ordered
Express Shipping - $3.95 + $3 per book ordered

Shipping caps and other rates may apply. The most accurate way to view your shipping charges is to visit your schools Online Bookstore and select the desired books then view the shipping charges on the shopping cart page.
11. Q. What happens when a book is on backorder?
A. When a book is on backorder or stock out, it means that due to publisher delay or high demand the book is temporarily out of stock. Back Ordered books are in route to our warehouse, stock out books will need to be ordered from the publisher. When the book does arrive, it will be shipped to you that same day. There is no additional shipping charge incurred by you.
12. Q. What does “dropped shipped” status mean?
A. The “dropped shipped” status indicates ClassBook.com has sent you a book directly from the publisher. This may occur when there is a “stock out” on the book ordered or it is a special order. This is done soley to expedite the shipment of the book to you.
13. Q. What if additional books are added to my courses after ordering?
A. If the school decides to add books to a course for which you have already bought books, for you will automatically receive an update. This e-mail update will inform you that a book has been added and if you wish to order to go to the bookstore. This will not automatically ship or be charged to your card without your consent.
14. Q. Why do some books not have used versions?
A. ClassBook.com attempts to inventory used versions of every book that the school has requested. These books are provided to your school on a first come, first serve basis. However, new versions of books will generally not have a used option due to the recent publication. Also, workbooks are sold only new as they are normally written in heavily.
15. Q. Do you buy books back?
A. Yes. ClassBook.com will list thousands of new books each month which we are currently buying back. You can determine which books we are buying back by clicking sell books on the shopping cart main navigation then typing the ISBN number of the book. Also, during the last week of school ClassBook.com travels to school campuses at the requests of schools to do an on site buyback. Books must be in good condition and binding must be intact for ClassBook.com to buy the books back.
16. Q. What type of credit cards are accepted?
A. ClassBook.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Also accepted are debit cards associated with these credit card companies.
17. Q. Are checks or money orders accepted?
A. Yes. Simply contact ClassBook.com at (877) 477 6217 to place your order indicating that you will be using an alternative form of payment (check, MO, etc.).

Your order will be shipped immediately upon receipt of payment.

Please expect up to three weeks for delivery if paying with a personal check.
18. Q. Is there a flexible payment plan? A. ClassBook.com works closely with schools to assist students in payment of their books. If you are in need of assistance or would like to have a payment plan set up for your purchase, please contact your school and they will set this up for you.
19. Q. Is ClassBook.com a secure site?
A. Yes, ClassBook.com guarantees that every transaction which is processed by ClassBook.com is 100% safe! ClassBook.com utilizes “Secure Socket Layer Encryption” to process every order ensuring safe ordering. This means that if unauthorized charges are incurred as result of using ClassBook.com you pay nothing.

In accordance with the Fair Billing Credit Act your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50 in charges that result from fraudulent charges on your credit card. ClassBook.com will pay this amount if your bank fails to do so without question as long as these fraudulent transactions occurred from purchases made using the ClassBook.com secure server.
20. Q. What is a “credit card authorization” vs. “credit card charge”?
A. A credit card authorization is provided to merchants upon the initial charge to guarantee that the merchant will be able to charge the credit card for the purchase amount. This authorization will set aside funds on your credit card to cover the purchase which you have made. A credit card charge is the actual transfer of funds from the credit card agency to the merchant for the sale. If your order is not processed the authorization will automatically be removed within 3 business days by your credit card company and those funds will be released.

*If you are using a debit card the authorization will freeze these funds in your account. ClassBook.com is not responsible for any bank fees associated with authorization of debit cards regarding checking accounts.
21. Q. Can I track my order?
A. Yes, upon shipment of your order an e-mail notification will be sent to you indicating so, you will find tracking information in the email. In addition you can always check your order status by logging into the "My Account" section on the main menu of the shopping cart.

You can also track the status of individual books by visiting the ClassBook.com "Order Status" section. Simply enter your order ID and you will be provided detailed information concerning the processing of your order.
22. Q. What is the privacy policy?
A. ClassBook.com fully respect the privacy of our customers and the information which they provide to us. It is our policy never to share your personal information, including e-mail address, mailing address, credit card information, and phone numbers without cusomter consent.
23. Q. What is ClassBook.com's return policy?
A. Return amounts are based on the number of days from the date of purchase. If the first day of class is greater then the date of purchase we will use that date to calculate refund amounts. There is no risk in purchasing your books early.

  • 31 to 45 days (10% Restocking fee)
  • 46 to 60 days (20% Restocking fee)
  • 61 to 90 days (50% Restocking fee)
  • 91 and over (75% Restocking fee)

A book with writing in it will be considered used regardless of the condition that is was purchased in. All restocking fees listed above will be applied to the used book price in this situation.
